Messerschmidt morphing sequence is [still] amazing.
Now, I don’t want to get mystical, but Krakman’s jam on Windsor Red & Blue is mesmerizing. Really draws you in, puts your head in a zone. The visuals are very complementary… the piece ends and you come back to earth. A little sorry to be back, like awakening after a good dream, and you want to go back.
The special effects guy on this project is a wizard … though employed frequently, they (effects) don’t feel overdone, and always sensitive to, and reacting to, the content (Ernst’s speaking) at hand. And expertly executed, it seems to me.
Music choices in The Art World are great. Appropriate / nicely chosen found footage too — and not just “Plastics”!
Ernst is very likeable and incredibly articulate. He gets my vote.
